Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also known as Ashanti was born on 13 October of 1980, in Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American songwriter, singer and actor. Ashanti became famous as a teenager and eventually joined Murder Inc. Records in 2002. She appeared in the Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that same year. song and Ja Rule's Always On Time track.
